As an innovator, Gene has built numerous companies. He designs, creates, collaborates, builds and grows new businesses that help people. Gene‘s background in communications, film, video, multi media, electronic imaging and business development led him to build InfoMedix Communications into a global telemedical network. Gene and his team developed and sold a variety of integrated telemedical hardware systems for various departments in hospital campuses. This included the VideoHub, which could transmit programs across the globe and connect hundreds of hospital departments including surgical suites, pathology, radiology and nuclear medicine departments, conference centers, auditoriums and lecture halls. Hospitals across the country were able to connect with each other and share programs using InfoMedix own private VPN network . InfoMedix also produced thousands of live surgical and educational events. Gene created deals to install InfoMedix into the nations leading hospitals and cancer centers including Cornell, Columbia, H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center, St. Johns, Georgia Baptist and UCLA. Customers included Ethicon Endo Surgery, J&J, US Surgical, ACS, AAGL, AORN and hospitals across the country. Gene led the company’s merger negotiations and successfully sold the company to Stryker (SYK) in 1999.
